Warren County

Founded in 1813 and named after General Joseph Warren, a patriot who died at the Battle of Bunker Hill. It was the site of the 1757 Battle of Fort William Henry (located in the heart of Lake George Village), where British forces surrendered to the French and their Native American allies. Today, the fort offers live re-enactments with musket and cannon fire demonstrations, providing a glimpse into 18th-century warfare.

Warren County has a population is approximately 65,000 people, preserving the small-town feel in it's communities. The cost of living is slightly lower than the national average and residents benefit from convenient access to employment, healthcare services, education and recreational activities.

This area includes several serene municipalities that include Bolton, Chester, Glens Falls, Hague, Horicon, Johnsburg, Lake George, Lake Luzerne, Queensbury, Stony Creek, Thurman, Warrensburg.

The Adirondack Balloon Festival which is held at Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport in Queensbury, started in the 1970s, and is named one of the Top 100 events in North America. This community event attracts over 150,000 people annually. The festival features colorful and unique hot air balloons, food and craft vendors, live music, and activities for all ages.

Lake George offers seasonal events such as live boat entertainment on the 32-mile-long lake, shopping, dining, and the famous Americade Motorcycle Rally.
